Hi guys, I know I have been horrible about this whole blog thing but I do have some new info. Jasper and I decided to rent a house and we are happy to be getting out of the apartment! It is a three bedroom but more like 2 ½ (the third room is tiny). It has 2 bathrooms and a backyard. We are only planning on renting for about 8 months… We are starting the processes of buying a house at the beginning of the year.

I started at Umpqua bank a few months ago and so far it has been good, I am learning a lot and I enjoy going to work and I love to dress up for work. Jasper got his offer at his job so he is no longer an engineer’s assistant but a manufacturing engineer! I am very proud of him and he is doing really good and also enjoying his job. Other then that nothing really new, we have been slowly getting to know that area and finding things to do on the weekend.

We had our first guest a few weeks ago and had a BBQ with my family, Cain’s, Eisner’s and some of their Sacramento friends. We also had Thanksgiving at our house with Jaspers family. I would say overall we enjoy living in Citrus Heights but we do miss home every now and then. Next time I will be in McKinleyville will be for Christmas!

Graduation

I Graduated from CSU Chico about 2 weeks ago,  I received a BA in Interior Design and a minor in Studio Art.  Jasper and I graduated on separate days so our families had to go to both, it became redundant because they were the same speeches.  It was about 90 degrees during graduation, I was dying during the ceremony and even took my gown off since I was sitting there for 3 hours.  Overall it was a great weekend and after Jaspers Graduation we headed to the lake for a few days. 

Jasper and I will be moving to Fair Oaks This week I am so excited but yet scared at the same time.

Update..

Hi, I know it has been forever but my life has been very busy.  I have not slept very much in the last couple of months, I have been trying to get everything done.  I have been working as much as possible to save up some money to survive on after graduation.  This week I am working 35 hours and on top of that I have 20 hours of class that I have to attend.   I also have a project due in every class but the good thing is that I don't have finals.   I am graduating from college in a little over a week, which is very exciting!!  After graduation we have to pack up and clean our house.  On June 5th, Jasper and I are moving to Fair Oaks which is located near Sacramento.

We are living in a one bedroom apartment for 4 months to check out the area and make sure we like the city life.  We ended up going to sac last week and checked out a few places and we found the perfect fit!!! The town of Fair Oaks is so very cute!!! It has a small town feel and the American River is less then a mile away!!!

MEXICO

Jasper and I are going to Playa Del Carmen March 12-18. We always have talked about this and wanted to do it. We researched it and talked to people that have been to Mexico. Finally we decided on Playa del Carmen because of some friends went there a few years ago and loved it. (thanks Jessica) So we booked it in August through Expedia and we are staying at an all-inclusive resort and very excited. Then we started to freak out because it was a lot of money for us (full time college students part time workers). We thought of better ways we could have spent that money, like save it for when we get cut off from our parents... But we got over that fast ha ha.  Around dec/jan I thought it would be fun to go to expedia and see how much the price had gone up...  it was down about $350 per person. I freaked and called expedia, they said there was nothing they could  for us.   We are going to Cozumel for the day to swim with dolphins (thanks mom and dad) it has always been a dream of mine to do that.  Nothing else set in stone, I really want to go tequila tasting  and parasalling one day but only if Jasper goes with me, I am terrified of heights.  Well If you have any other ideas of stuff we should do let me know, we are getting excited, it is only a month away!!!!

Hi so these past few weeks I have been working on re-doing/ updating my projects for my portfolio.  we have a month to do this then we are getting pictures taken of them and start building our portfolio.  I decided to do some of my projects on a program called sketch-up.  I thought I would share with you what I have one so far they are not done but I thought I would share them anyways.  Hope you enjoy them!

So This project we had to design a hotel suit we were given size and height requirements.  I designed it for more of a modern/ newer hotel. The three pictures after this are just close-ups of this one.  I am still working on it so if you have any ideas or think I should change anything just let me know!!!

So this project we had to design a business layout from our classroom shape.  I was assigned a card shop I did the rest of the project by hand but I thought it would be fun to show what it would look like in a 2D model.

First Blog

Hi, I decided to get a Blog because I love reading them and I hate not being able to comment on my friends Blogs. I won't have much to write about but Jessica convinced me to get one anyways. So today was my last first day of college and I am ready to be done but yet scared at the same time. I have two classes left for my major and two classes left for my minor so it should be a easy semester. They are all lab classes which means I am at school for about 20 hours a week and that's not counting projects and getting my portfolio ready. In 6 months my life will be dramatically changing, I will be getting a new job and be moving to a new place. I have no idea where we will be moving, Jasper and I will be starting to look /applying for job's very soon.
